Good News You Can Use

Drivers Needed
We are in need of drivers to assist parishioners in need of a ride to and from Mass on Sundays.
It would be once or twice a month at the convenience of the driver. At the present time there are more riders than drivers so not everyone can get to church. If interested, please contact Erin Moravec at 215-657-6948.

Bereavement Support Group
The St. David monthly bereavement support is for all persons grieving the death of a loved one. This is a peer support group facilitated by parishioners Rose Mueller, RN, BSN and Marge Polinski, MS. This provides an opportunity for people to share in an environment of understanding and empathy.
The group will meet the 4th Saturday of each month at 10 AM in the rectory. Please call
Rose Mueller at 215-657-4423 or Marge Polinski at 215-674-3690.

Remembrance Bricks
Spring is upon us and it’s the perfect time to consider getting a paver in remembrance of your family and loved ones. We continue to add pavers to our Prayer Garden. Our goal is to add more pavers every three to four months, as we collect new requests. There are forms on our website and in the rectory office for your convenience. This is a wonderful way to pay tribute to your loved ones. Details and information can be obtained by calling the rectory and asking for Maureen. Cost is $110 for a four by eight inch brick and $200.00 for an eight by eight brick.

Sponsor-A-Student
You can assist a family in the meeting of the tuition of a Queen of Angels School Student. You may do so in part or in whole. Please consider making a one time or an ongoing contribution to assist a family who desires a Catholic Education for their child but can use extra help.

Catholic Charities:
Families or individuals in need can seek help at Catholic Charity Family Service Centers. Service centers provide the needy and low income with a number of services. A sampling of what is offered includes very limited rent or utility bill assistance, food pantries and clothing cupboards, housing referrals, and case management services. Some of the self-sufficiency and personal development resources include job placement assistance, ESL classes, GED preparation, and employment training.  Catholic Charity Family Services is located at  227 North 18th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, (215) 854-7000.

Donate and Save at the Same Time!
With each scrip gift card you purchase through School or Church, a percentage of the amount purchased is donated back to our School or our Church. Please check out information about hours and locations for scrip purchase above. I thank you, Father Connors.
