Time away to reconnect on a Marriage Encounter Weekend

St. Francis Inn Annual Mass and Benefit

St. David Parish, St. Vincent de Paul Society and Queen of Angels School will host our annual benefit for the St. Francis Inn with Mass on Monday February 22 at 7:30 P.M. Fr. Michael Duffy and the Franciscans from Philadelphia’s lower Kensington section will be with us. We share their ministry by collecting food and by giving our Mass collection. This year OLHC Prayer Group will double all the money collected for the Franciscans. Donations can be taken to Father Curran Hall from February 13th to February 22nd until 8:00 P.M. This is the 2nd Monday of Lent. Please start preparing non-perishable food, diapers, baby formula, blankets, toiletries, shoes and financial sacrifice. PLEASE— NO CLOTHING DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. Pray for our outreach, the poor and the Franciscan Priests, Brothers, Sisters and the young adults who give one or more years of their lives to help others.

Remembrance Bricks
While bricks for our Prayer Garden can be obtained at any time, those wishing to have bricks installed before the ground becomes too hard to install them are asked to call the rectory without delay to place their orders. Details and information can be obtained by calling the rectory and asking for Maureen. Cost is $110 for a four by eight inch brick and $200.00 for an eight by eight brick.

Sponsor-A-Student
You can assist a family in the meeting of the tuition of a Queen of Angels School Student. You may do so in part or in whole. Please consider making a one time or an ongoing contribution to assist a family who desires a Catholic Education for their child but can use extra help.

Catholic Charities:
Families or individuals in need can seek help at Catholic Charity Family Service Centers. Service centers provide the needy and low income with a number of services. A sampling of what is offered includes very limited rent or utility bill assistance, food pantries and clothing cupboards, housing referrals, and case management services. Some of the self-sufficiency and personal development resources include job placement assistance, ESL classes, GED preparation, and employment training.  Catholic Charity Family Services is located at  227 North 18th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, (215) 854-7000.

Please go online to GIANT Food Stores/A-plus and register your Giant’s card designating Queen of Angels School ID#23872 as the recipient of your rewards. Please tell your family and friends to help out too. Last year 228 families registered and QOA received a check for $4200.00. Registering your card does not add or reduce your value of your bonus card.
